For advanced and professional climbers, big wall enthusiasts and industrial climbers – the Edelrid Basic II Sonderedition 10.5 mm is now available in a special Bergfreunde Edition! The static rope boasts a very low static elongation of only 3.7% and a breaking strength of 28kN. This means that the rope is capable of withstanding heavy loads thanks to its high-quality core and sheath construction complete with tracer threads in the sheath.
The Basic II is also very abrasion resistant and offers excellent handling. As a result of the Thermo Shield treatment applied to the rope, you’ll experience the suppleness Edelrid ropes are known for. Plus, the rope that won’t shrink or get stiff as quickly as ropes that haven’t undergone this treatment. Perfect for expeditions, big walls, hauling, etc!
